Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, and VladimirPutin, President of Russia, have met in Novo-Ogaryovo during the Kazakh leader’s official visit to the Russian Federation.
“I am glad to welcome you to Russia, to Moscow. We have a meeting in a few days in Kyrgyzstan. But your arrival in Moscow is a landmark,” Putin noted.
The presidents of the two CSTO Member States discussed prospects for further strengthening of the strategic partnership.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakh-Russian relations, based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and good neighbourliness, are developing progressively.
“As for cooperation between our states, it is developing successfully in multiple dimensions. Above all, our states enjoy a a strategic and allied multifaceted cooperation,” the President of Kazakhstan emphasized.
In turn, Vladimir Putin noted strong bilateral ties and the need to further strengthen them.
During the conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday, noting his personal contribution to deepening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as multidimensional integration ties in the Eurasian space.
