Tokayev and Rahmon Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Within Regional and International Organizations
On October 9 in Dushanbe, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, met with Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan.
During the talks, the leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
They discussed the implementation progress of the most important agreements reached at the highest level, and exchanged views on current issues pertaining to cooperation within regional and international organizations.
Among the priorities, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev named combating terrorism, drug trafficking and cyber threats. He wished the President of Tajikistan success in holding the Russia–Central Asia Summit, as well as the meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS.
