In the 20th century, our peoples passed a severe test together, defeating fascism in the most terrible war in the history of humankind. Kazakhstanis fought selflessly at the front. Kazakhstan became a reliable strategic home front, providing the army with necessary military products and food. Hundreds of thousands of families found shelter on Kazakh soil during evacuation”, noted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of Kazakhstan added that for Kazakhstanis, the words “No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten” are not just a beautiful slogan, but a concise reflection of the eternal national memory of the unparalleled feats of war veterans and home front workers.
“Despite unprecedented global challenges, our countries show an example of good-neighborliness and multifaceted cooperation. Such cooperation is based on common interests, mutual respect and constructive political dialog at a high level,” Mr. Tokayev emphasized.
