Turgunbek uulu Nurlanbek: Kyrgyzstan Pays Special Attention to Cybersecurity
Today, on May 19, a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is taking place in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Turgunbek uulu Nurlanbek, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, is taking part in the event.
He pointed out that the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly plays a special role in today's circumstances, when "decisions made by legislative bodies directly affect the stability of our states and the security of the entire region."
Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh paid special attention to the issues of cybersecurity and legal regulations of artificial intelligence, emphasizing that "parliaments must keep up with the times."
He also proposed to more actively involve young people in the work of the CSTO.
"Creating youth parliamentary platforms and educational programs under the CSTO PA can become a powerful factor in establishing a new generation of leaders striving for cooperation and peace," Nurlanbek Shakiev noted.
The Chairman made a separate remark about the successful outcome of the Kyrgyz-Tajik negotiations on the delimitation of the state border, giving it as an example of solving complex issues in the spirit of good-neighborliness and historical friendship.
