First Polling Stations Opened in Kazakhstan in the Presence of CSTO PA Observers
Kazakhstan’s first polling stations opened this morning in the presence of international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Today, March 19, extraordinary elections to the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan’s Parliament and elections to maslikhats of all levels are taking place.
Polls opened on time, at precisely 7:00 am Astana time.
Today all citizens of Kazakhstan over 18 years of age will be able to vote. The official voting time is from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm local time.
A total of 10,223 polling stations have been set up in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.
International observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly are currently monitoring the voting process at polling stations in Astana and its suburbs.
