According to the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence, on June 7, Minsk hosted a regular meeting of the working group of the CSTO Council of Defence Ministers on electronic warfare.
Lieutenant General Anatoly Yakovlev, chiefs of military command of the armed forces of the CSTO Member States responsible for organizing electronic warfare in the national armed forces and representatives of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Lieutenant General Anatoly Yakovlev, Chief of the CSTO Troops (Collective Force), discussed the use of electronic warfare forces and assets in modern armed conflicts and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of communications equipment of national armed forces.
Major General Viktor Gulevich, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and first deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, also took part in the meeting. He supported the need to practice electronic warfare-related aspects in the course of joint tactical and combat training involving the components of the CSTO Troops (Collective Force).
