From May 27 to 29, the Russian capital will host the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues. Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, will preside over the meeting.
Delegations from more than 150 countries of the Global South and East, as well as representatives of the CSTO, CIS, EAEU and SCO states and heads of more than 20 international organizations have been invited to participate in the forum.
"Global changes in foreign policy and economy create both challenges and new opportunities for the countries of the Global South and East. Modern security threats are cross-border, and no state can effectively combat them alone or only in bilateral format," Sergei Shoigu emphasized.
The main topic of discussion will be the furthering of security cooperation and the establishment of a new, fairer international security architecture, one that reflects modern reality and the principles of equal and indivisible security.
