On December 18, a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State started in Moscow.
Earlier, Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the CSTO PA, and Vladimir Andreichenko, first deputy Chairman, held a meeting in Pskov. A so-called “government hour” was held there.
“Our entities need to be structured in such a way that they correspond to the level of development of the Union State of today. We discussed all this with Vladimir Andreichenko and agreed that we will bring this issue to the nearest consideration," Vyacheslav Volodin said at today’s meeting in Moscow.
The meeting participants will discuss interparliamentary cooperation between the two CSTO Member States, approximation of the legislation of Belarus and Russia, implementation of 28 union programs and other tasks set by the presidents of the two countries.
The main priority of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is the approximation and harmonization of the national legislations of all CSTO Member States, including the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
