A session of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation chaired by Tajikistan was held in Vienna on July 17. It addressed the issues of cooperation between the OSCE and the CSTO in the Central Asian region, Sputnik Tajikistan news agency reports.
The session was attended by CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov, Head of the CSTO Division of the First Department of the CIS States of the Russian Foreign Ministry Oleg Kravchenko and Chief Researcher of the Institute of Asian and European Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Nosir Nazarzoda.
In his speech, Mr Semerikov noted that the CSTO has prepared a detailed list of measures aimed at reducing tension on the Tajik-Afghan border.
In turn, Mr Nazarzoda presented a scientific analysis of strengthening OSCE and CSTO cooperation in the region.
