Valery Gaidukevich, deputy Chairman of the Permanent Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, took part in the parliamentary observation of the CSTO military exercises in Tajikistan.
"The hardest part in combat maneuvers is the coordination of actions at all levels: squad, platoon, company, battalion. During the exercises, this coordination reaches a higher level. From what we've seen today at the Fakhrabad training ground, we can conclude that our units are ready to perform their designated tasks," Valery Gaidukevich underlined.
As you may recall, one of the areas of parliamentary monitoring of the military and political situation in the CSTO collective security regions is participation of parliamentarians as observers in joint exercises of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), in order to identify what needs improvement in the legal framework for the military security of the CSTO Member States.
