At the EEF, Vladimir Putin and Nikol Pashinyan discussed the stabilization in the South Caucasus and cooperation within international organizations
On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Russia notes the stabilization of the economic situation in Armenia, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan on the margins of the EEF, RIA Novosti reports.
“We can indeed note the stabilization of the economic situation in Armenia. A lot has been achieved by your Government in this area,” the agency quotes the President of the Russian Federation as saying.
“Of course, the security situation around Nagorno-Karabakh is one of the most sensitive issues. We discuss this all the time; we stay in constant contact,” Vladimir Putin said, according to TASS.
The President of the Russian Federation emphasized the cooperation within the framework of intergovernmental organizations, including the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
In the near future, SCO events are to be held in Uzbekistan, “where we will have an opportunity to meet again and talk with all our colleagues,” Vladimir Putin said.
