Vladimir Putin held talks with CSTO counterparts

On May 8 and 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a series of personal and telephone talks with his counterparts, the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States.
According to kremlin.ru, on May 8 he spoke on the telephone with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and met personally with Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, who attended the May 9 parade to mark the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War as Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
On May 9, telephone conversation was held with Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, and on May 10, telephone conversation with Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During these conversations, the heads of state exchanged warm congratulations on the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and emphasized the special importance of this date for the peoples of our countries and the importance of preserving the memory of the deeds of frontline soldiers and home front workers. They discussed bilateral relations and confirmed their commitment to further strengthen partnerships and alliance.
During talks with the President of the Republic of Belarus, an agreement was reached on further contacts; during talks with Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, on his working visit to the Russian Federation.
