Vladimir Putin: Russia is ready to actively develop cooperation ties to create new weapons and equipment
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, spoke at the opening ceremony of the Army 2022 International Military and Technical Forum and the 2022 International Army Games.
“Our people are proud of their Army and Navy, the professionalism and courage of their defenders. They have always steadfastly guarded the sovereignty and security of their Motherland and have brought freedom to other nations,” said the President of the Russian Federation. He stressed that he would like to once again thank Russian weapons manufacturers for equipping the Army and Navy with modern weapons “that today work for the victory, for the technological and industrial development of the entire country, of all Russia.”
Vladimir Putin stressed that this year within the framework of the Forum about one and a half thousand national defence industry organizations will present more than 28.000 modern military and dual-purpose products.
“Let me emphasize: Russia stands for the widest, most comprehensive development of military and technical cooperation. It is especially important today in the context of the steadily forming multipolar world,” said the President of the Russian Federation.
Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the fact that “our country has many allies, partners, like-minded people on different continents. These are states that do not buckle under the so-called hegemon. Their leaders show true masculine character and do not buckle. They choose a sovereign, independent path of development, they want to solve global and regional security issues collectively on the basis of international law, mutual responsibility and taking into account each other’s interests, thus contributing to the defence of the multipolar world.”
Vladimir Putin said, “Russia sincerely values historically strong, friendly, truly trusting ties with the states of Latin America, Asia and Africa.”
“We are ready to offer our allies and partners the most advanced types of weapons, from small arms to armoured vehicles and artillery, combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles,” said the President of the Russian Federation, recalling that “military professionals all over the world value them for their reliability, quality and, most importantly, high efficiency. Almost all of them have repeatedly been used in real combat.”
“Of particular interest are promising models and systems that are future-proof and will determine the ‘tomorrow’ of the Armed Forces,” stressed the President of the Russian Federation, noting that “the Forum gives foreign military specialists a good opportunity to study the developments in the Russian military industrial complex in such fields as application of artificial intelligence, the latest information and radioelectronic technologies and practical implementation of advanced achievements of our world-renowned design bureaus and science schools.”
“These are high-precision weapons and robotics, combat systems based on new physical principles. Many of them are years or even decades ahead of their foreign counterparts, and their tactical and technical characteristics are much better,” said the President of the Russian Federation. “The Patriot expositions, presentations at military ranges and demonstrations of developments of the ERA Technopolis prove this.”
Vladimir Putin recalled: Russia is ready to actively develop cooperation ties to create new weapons and equipment, to work together on fair, equal terms.
“Our country has a rich experience of such successful technological cooperation, first and foremost within the CSTO and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” the President of the Russian Federation noted. He called for a tough response to attempts to falsify the history of the Second World War and to manifestations of neo-Nazism, Russophobia and racism.
