Vyacheslav VOLODIN: The Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan can discuss joint solutions to counter terrorism within the CSTO PA.

At a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali RAKHMON, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Vyacheslav VOLODIN said that the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan can discuss joint solutions to counter terrorism within the CSTO PA.
Vyacheslav VOLODIN and Emomali RAHMON also discussed joint counteraction to challenges and threats in the region. According to the CSTO PA Chairman, it is especially important to speak about this in Dushanbe, as “the region adjoins Afghanistan.” He also did not exclude the possibility of holding next year’s CSTO PA regular session in Dushanbe.
During the meeting with the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly Shukurjon ZUKHUROV, Vyacheslav VOLODIN recalled that “Presidents set the pace, but the parliaments of the strategic partner countries admittedly underuse their capabilities and potential.”
