As part of his two-day official visit to the Russian Federation, Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, visited the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and met with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The press service of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation stresses that this is the first visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia to the State Duma.
“Your visit to the State Duma will definitely affect the development of relations between our parliaments,” said Vyacheslav Volodin during the meeting. According to Vyacheslav Volodin, “Interaction between Russia and Armenia within the parliamentary dimension is very active. This is facilitated by the trust between the two countries,” Vyacheslav Volodin added. “With your support the inter-parliamentary dialogue will develop more actively, and we will understand each other better,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
In his turn, the Armenian Prime Minister noted that such communication gives a new impetus to the relations between the two countries.
“I am sure that our inter-parliamentary relations will develop further,” Nikol Pashinyan added.
He also assured the Chairman of the State Duma that he would support the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
Vyacheslav Volodin, in turn, suggested holding a session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Armenia to discuss the current agenda.
