CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Meeting to Take Place in Moscow on December 8
On December 8, Moscow will host a regular joint meeting of the Council and the 18th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
The agenda includes key issues such as summarizing the results of the implementation of the Kyrgyz Republic's priorities during its CSTO chairmanship, as well as discussion of the Russian Federation's initiatives for its chairmanship in 2026.
Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, will present the results of the November session of the Collective Security Council and the Organization's current activities.
In addition, the participants will consider draft model acts on defence and security. In particular, the model law "On Countering Terrorism", Recommendations on Military-Patriotic Education, Recommendations on Improving the Legislation of the CSTO Member States in the Field of Civil Protection, Recommendations on Approximation and Harmonization of Criminal and Administrative and Tort Legislation of the CSTO Member States in the Area of Critical Information Infrastructure Security, Recommendations on the Harmonization of the CSTO Member States’ Criminal Legislation Penalizing Crimes Against Peace and Security of Humanity and other acts.
Representatives of a number of foreign countries have been invited to participate in the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly, including Serbia (the parliament of Serbia is a permanent observer to the CSTO PA), as well as China and Iran.
