Interparliamentary Assembly of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS)

Governing Bodies: the IPA CIS Council (consists of the heads of parliaments), IPA CIS Council Chairperson (elected by the Council members for one year).
Structure: the IPA CIS Council, the IPA CIS Council Chairperson, the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, 10 permanent commissions by areas of work (the Secretariat is located in St Petersburg).
The IPA CIS and the CSTO PA participate jointly in the development of model laws and conduct joint activities on a regular basis.

Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)

Since 2007, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly has had the observer status at the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA)

Parliamentary delegations of the CSTO Member States to the OSCE PA regularly conduct working meetings of heads of delegations prior to the next session of the OSCE PA.

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the ICRC regularly participate in joint events.

Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia (UBR PA)

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia and has had the observer status at the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly since 2010 and they have held joint events on a regular basis.
Founded: April 2, 1996.
Charter Document: Agreement on the Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Belarus and Russia (April 29, 1996); Agreement on the Union of Belarus and Russia (April 1, 1997); Regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia (1997).
The Parliamentary Assembly (PA) consists of delegations formed respectively by both chambers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
