Andrei Serdyukov: CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan is over, peacekeepers have fulfilled all their tasks
“On January 19, the last units and commanders of peacekeeping forces are returning to their Motherland, to their home stations,” said Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, the commander of the CSTO peacekeeping contingent in Kazakhstan.
Andrei Serdyukov wished the people of Kazakhstan peace and prosperity.
Colonel-General Serdyukov, commander of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces in Kazakhstan, said, “CSTO peacekeepers have fulfilled all their tasks in Kazakhstan; not a single provocation has been allowed against them.”
“The peacekeeping forces from the five countries have fulfilled their tasks. The peacekeepers demonstrated a high degree of readiness for action, professionalism and organization. Not a single provocation has been allowed against peacekeepers,” the commander of the CSTO peacekeeping contingent said.
According to Andrei Serdyukov, the peacekeepers have shown readiness for action, professionalism and organization.
According to TASS, the last four military cargo planes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carrying Russian CSTO peacekeepers flew from Kazakhstan to Russia on January 19. The same planes brought back the commanders of the peacekeeping contingent, led by Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov.
