CSTO PA Council’s Expert Advisory Board Discussed Key Security Issues
Today, on March 27, a meeting of the Expert Advisory Board of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly took place.
The participants discussed the CSTO's draft Model Law "On the Status of International Officials", reviewed Recommendations on Harmonization of Criminal Legislation regarding responsibility for crimes against peace and security of humankind, and examined the draft Agreement on Cooperation Between the CSTO Member States on Use of New Types of Weapons and Technologies.
"The experts of the CSTO Member States have supported the draft Model Law 'On the Status of International Officials'. It will establish a common approach to the organization of international service and social guarantees for international employees of all the CSTO Member States. Kazakhstan's proposals have been taken into account, which concern the balance of interests of States contributing to the budgets of international organizations, as well as the introduction of restrictions and prohibitions regarding family members of international officials. The draft Recommendations establishing criminal liability for crimes against peace and security of humankind have also been agreed upon. In 15 years of the Parliamentary Assembly's work, this is the first time such a comprehensive document in this area has been developed," stated Anatoly Vyborny, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, Chairman of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Defence and Security.
In the meeting, the members of the Expert Advisory Board have also discussed the 2026–2030 CSTO PA Action Plan.
