CSTO Secretary General Met with Russian Foreign and Defence Ministers

On November 13, Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, held meetings with Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, and Andrei Belousov, Russian Minister of Defence.

The meeting with Sergei Lavrov discussed the preparations for the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Defence Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO on November 28 in Astana. The parties also discussed improving the activity of the Organization's Secretariat.

During the meeting with Andrei Belousov, the sides discussed relevant issues of military cooperation within the CSTO and prospects for its development, as well as preparations for the meeting of the Collective Security Council.
