Russian Minister of Defence Awarded Baktybek Bekbolotov with Order of Friendship

During a meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Andrei Belousov, Russian Minister of Defence, awarded Baktybek Bekbolotov, his Kyrgyz counterpart, with the Order of Friendship.

The award was presented to the Minister of Defence of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the Decree of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.

As you may recall, on September 10-11, CSTO parliamentarians took part in the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the CSTO Parliaments under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly, which was held in Bishkek, as well as in military exercises in Balykchy, Kyrgyzstan.

In 2025, the chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will pass to the Kyrgyz Republic by rotation. In 2024, the Organization is chaired by the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For reference. The Order of Friendship is awarded to citizens for their significant contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations and nationalities, strengthening peace and friendly relations between states.
