Imangali Tasmagambetov, the CSTO Secretary General, speaking to the personnel of the Organization's Joint Staff, said that the goals set for 2023 were achieved due to the great contribution of the CSTO member states in strengthening military cooperation and their constructive approach in reaching consensus, the website of the Collective Security Treaty Organization reported.
Among the priority tasks for 2024, Andrei Serdyukov, Colonel General and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, stressed the improvement of the legal framework governing the development of the CSTO military component, the continuation of work to improve the crisis response system, as well as the holding of meetings of the Council of Defence Ministers and the CSTO Military Committee.
Imangali Tasmagambetov emphasized that the implementation of the decisions of the CSTO CSC session in November 2023 implies new multifaceted tasks to improve the CSTO's military component.
