Milovan Drecun thanked CSTO parliamentarians for supporting Serbia in preserving historical memory

Milovan Drecun, Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the CSTO PA, thanked CSTO parliamentarians for supporting Serbia in preserving historical memory. He spoke via videoconference at the meeting of the Permanent Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, which took place today, on October 24, in St. Petersburg.

As you may recall, at the invitation of the Serbian National Assembly, the parliamentarians of the Collective Security Treaty Organization visited the capital of the Republic and took part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade from the Nazi invaders.

Milovan Drecun emphasized the special importance of the Assembly's work to preserve the historical truth and to counter the revision of historical facts. 

CSTO parliamentarians, in turn, noted the acute relevance and importance of such issues in today's world, where history becomes a subject of political manipulation.
