Sadyr Japarov Meets With Heads of Parliaments of the CSTO Member States in Bishkek

On May 19, Bishkek hosted a visiting session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA), where Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with the heads of parliaments of the CSTO Member States.  

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Chairman of the State Duma, Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the

Parliament of Kazakhstan, Nurlanbek Shakiev, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh, and Faizali Idizoda, Speaker of the Lower Chamber of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, took part in the event. 

During the meeting, they discussed ways of further development of the parliamentary diplomacy, expansion of interstate cooperation and joint response to modern security challenges.  

Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of developing partnership relations within the CSTO and expressed Kyrgyzstan's willingness to continue deepening cooperation with allies in the Organization. 

In addition, the President of Kyrgyzstan praised the events held as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
