Tasmagambetov: Parliamentary Dimension is Becoming an Increasingly Important Pillar of the CSTO Work
Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, spoke at the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek.
In his speech, he particularly noted the role of parliamentary dimension in the CSTO.
"I am glad to declare that with each passing year, parliamentary dimension becomes an increasingly important pillar of general work to strengthen and develop our organization further, to fully accomplish its tasks," noted the Secretary General.
Imangali Tasmagambetov pointed out that Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in 2025 is associated with celebrating 80 years of the Great Victory and praised the events that took place during the celebration.
"The Organization is a worthy descendant of the traditions that helped the Soviet peoples to achieve the Great Victory. Preserving historical memory about the Great Patriotic War, heroic feats of our fathers, passing on traditions of our culture, ideas of benevolence and courage is not only our duty, but also the guarantee of continuity in the glorious history of our peoples."
The CSTO Secretary General also highlighted the exceptional importance of the State Border Agreement signed by Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
