Tatyana Savelyeva Appointed Deputy Defense Minister of Kazakhstan
On October 7, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, appointed Tatyana Savelyeva as deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic.
Tatyana Savelyeva is 50 years old and holds a degree in economics. She was born in 1976 in Tselinograd (now Astana). In 2007, she earned a master's degree in economics from L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
Since 1999, she has worked in financial and budget agencies in Astana and Kazakhstan.
From 2002 to 2016, Tatyana Savelyeva held a series of positions at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, including leadership roles in budget planning.
From 2016 to 2023, she served as deputy Minister of Finance. In March 2023, she became a member of the Mazhilis, where she sat on the Committee on Finance and Budget.
Tatyana Savelyeva joined the Kurultai in 2026 and was appointed deputy Defense Minister on October 7.
