CSTO PA Thematic Session Started its Work Within the Framework of 2025 St. Petersburg Legal Forum
Today, on May 20, a thematic session "The Security Umbrella of Eurasian Integration", organized by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat, started its work within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum-2025 (SPILF-2025).
The event is dedicated to the harmonization of national legislation of the CSTO Member States to improve the effectiveness of collective security.
The key topic of the session is the development of model lawmaking in the context of the transformation of modern challenges and threats, as well as the role of the CSTO as a tool to ensure security and stability in the Eurasian space.
The participants will discuss the implementation of model legislative acts developed and adopted by the CSTO PA, as well as share experience in their implementation in national legal systems.
The session is moderated by Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the CSTO PA Council’s Expert Advisory Board, deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control.
Among the speakers are representatives of the CSTO PA, the State Duma, the Russian Ministry of Justice, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rosgvardiya, the CEC of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, CIS Coordination Council of Prosecutors General, CIS ATC and the CSTO Joint Staff.
