On April 11, 2013, by Resolution No. 4 of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Lower House of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was granted observer status at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
