CSTO PA international observers laid wreaths and flowers at the Victory Monument in central Bishkek

International members of the CSTO PA observer mission began their work of monitoring of the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic by laying flowers and wreaths at the Victory Monument on Victory Square in central Bishkek.
In accordance with the invitation of the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the CSTO PA observer mission includes representatives of the parliaments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Konstantin Zatulin, a member of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation, deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, was appointed as the mission coordinator.
The day before the voting day, international observers intend to hold a series of meetings in Bishkek at the headquarters of the parties participating in the election campaign, visit the precinct election commissions, watch the preparations for the voting to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and meet with the leadership of the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic are scheduled for October 4.
