Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, noted the importance of the adoption by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly of the Address to OSCE parliaments on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
“This year is special for us,” said Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, in his speech at the session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO. “We celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Our countries have held or will hold festive events commemorating this important date.”
Mr Andreichenko thanked Vyacheslav Volodin, CSTO PA Chairman, and the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly for “organizing, in challenging circumstances, the adoption of the Address of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to the parliaments of the Council of Europe Member States in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in the Second World War.
“This is a very important step. Joint countering the attempts to falsify history and revise the outcomes of the Second World War is a priority for us,” he said.
Mr Andreichenko congratulated the Chairman of the CSTO PA and all Russians on the Russia Day and wished all meeting participants health and wellbeing.
