Hakob Arshakyan was elected Chairman of the CSTO PA Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation

Hakob Arshakyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, has been elected Chairman of the Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Dmitry Novikov, first deputy Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, was elected as his deputy.
A retreat session of the Standing Commission is taking place today, November 2, in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. As the Chairman of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation, Hakob Arshakyan reported to the participants of the session on the implementation of the priorities of the Republic of Armenia during its 2022 CSTO presidency. The meeting participants include representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO Member States who address the military and political situation in the Caucasus region of the CSTO collective responsibility.
