President of Kazakhstan conducts a surprise inspection of air assault troops
Military units of the Armed Forces are on alert due to a surprise inspection of troops.
As Kazinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the country’s President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces ordered the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan to conduct a surprise inspection of troops.
On the night between March 8 and 9, military units of Regional Command South and Air Assault Troops received a training signal and were put on alert.
The units will be transferred several hundred kilometres from Shymkent and Saryozek to the Matybulak proving ground in Zhambyl oblast.
The troops are transferred in hybrid mode by combat vehicles and air transport, while heavy armoured vehicles are transported by rail and truck. Once the units arrive at their assigned areas, they will carry out combat training tasks.
Let us remind you that Stanislav Zas, CSTO Secretary General, is visiting the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 9–10.
