Kyrgyz Republic mourns those killed in a road accident in Russia
Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, declared August 23 as a day of national mourning after the death of 14 Kyrgyz citizens in a road accident in the Ulyanovsk oblast of Russia.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic called what happened a tragedy and a great sorrow for all Kyrgyz people.
“Due to this, I declare August 23 as a day of national mourning in the territory of Kyrgyzstan,” the President of the Kyrgyz Republic announced.
Sadyr Japarov announced that the relatives and friends of the victims and those injured in the accident will receive help. The President will oversee this personally.
“I understand and share the pain of the victims’ relatives, it is very hard for them now. In such cases, it is difficult to say words of sympathy. And yet, I bring my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who died or was injured in the accident,” said Sadyr Japarov.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of an accident two Russians and 14 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were killed.
Also today, Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, expressed official condolences to the relative of the victims.
The CSTO PA Secretariat joins in the expression of sorrow.
