CSTO Joint Staff discussed preparations for Collective Security Forces exercise
The CSTO Joint Staff held remote consultations on the organization of the 2021 joint training of the command and personnel of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) collective security system on March 15.
BELTA quotes Vladislav Schegrikovich, press secretary of the CSTO Joint Staff, “After consultations the parties agreed to follow the strategic plan developed by the CSTO Joint Staff during the design of joint and special exercises for the purposes of joint operational and strategic exercise Combat Brotherhood 2021.
Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, noted that the focus of joint operational and combat exercise in 2021 is Central Asia.
Another discussion point was holding joint business simulation games of the CSTO Secretariat, the CSTO Joint Staff and task forces of the relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO Member States.
Consultation participants discussed the proposals of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan regarding the holding of special exercises Echelon 2021 and Poisk (“Search”) 2021, joint exercise Vzaimodeistvie (“Interaction”) 2021, as well as the information of a representative of the Command of the Central Military District of the Russian Armed Forces about the organization of a joint exercise Unbreakable Brotherhood 2021.
The event was attended by representatives of the defence ministries of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Staff.
