On October 16, 2020, meetings of the standing commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were held in St Petersburg using videoconferencing
Parliamentarians of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States and invited experts heard reports on topical issues on the agenda of the standing commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Political Affairs and International Cooperation, on Defence and Security and on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues; considered the draft 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States and the 2021 Work Plan of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Together with the experts, parliamentarians considered the draft recommendations to be submitted to the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the 13th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
At the meeting of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation, Vasily Piskarev, member of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) of Parliaments of the CSTO Member States on Defence and Security under the Council of the CSTO PA, Chairman of the State Duma Commission on the Investigation of Foreign Interference in Russia’s Internal Affairs and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, informed the parliamentarians about the results of the activities of the State Duma Commission on the Investigation of Foreign Interference in Russia’s Internal Affairs.
