On November 4, Russians celebrate People's Unity Day.
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, congratulated his compatriots on the holiday.
“Happy People's Unity Day! It is a holiday that reminds us of the importance of unity and courage of the people. On this day, we remember the events of 1612, when people of different social classes united for a common goal - to protect the Motherland from enemies. The spirit of unity still lives in our hearts today, helping us to overcome difficulties and achieve new goals,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
November 4 has become a symbol of unity of all Russians, their desire for independence and love for the Motherland.
More than 200 events will be held in the Russian capital today.
