Afghanistan will strive for approximation of laws and alignment with CSTO PA
At the meeting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Mir Haidar Afzali, Chairman of the Security Committee of the Wolesi Jirga of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, reported that Afghanistan suffers from terrorism more than any other country.
Joint actions against terrorism can play a very positive role, and Afghanistan needs practical assistance here.
We need cooperation in the fight against terrorism, against drug trafficking, and we would like to cooperate with the CSTO States.
“I would like to thank the countries that are helping us in this area, combatting drug trafficking and helping to train our specialists, but I want to suggest that we develop closer cooperation at the parliamentary level,” Mir Haidar Afzali said.
As you may recall, the Wolesi Jirga of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is an observer in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
