Delegations of the CSTO PA and IPA CIS visited the Partisan Camp in Belarus

On February 23, international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and IPA CIS visited the military and historical complex "Partisan Camp" in Stankovo. 
 
The delegations arrived in Belarus to monitor the parliamentary elections, which will be held on Sunday, February 25.
 
"Partisan camp" is a reconstruction of the camp of partisan formation of the Great Patriotic War period.
 
The parliamentarians walked along the partisan paths, familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the partisan camp, visited the headquarters dugout with a radio station, the commander's dugout with maps and Morse apparatus, saw how the rank and file lived, what the printing house was like and where the guardhouse was located, attended a weapons workshop with homemade automatic rifles of that time, a forest school and a medical unit.
 
Guests from the CSTO and CIS Member States were told what had been done there to preserve historical memory.
 
As you may recall, on December 19, 2023, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly adopted Recommendations on responsibility for acts related to the rehabilitation of Nazism and distortion of historical truth. They are available on the Assembly's official website paodkb.org.
