Day of Solidarity in the Fight Against Terrorism in Russia
The Day of Solidarity in the Fight Against Terrorism, celebrated in Russia on September 3, is linked to the tragic events that took place on September 1-3, 2004 at School No. 1 in the town of Beslan in North Ossetia.
In memory of Beslan victims, the Federal Law on Amendments to the Federal Law on Days of Military Glory (Victory Days) of Russia of July 21, 2005 established this day of remembrance in Russia.
On September 3, Russia remembers the victims of all terrorist attacks and pays tribute to law enforcement officers who died preventing terrorist attacks and rescuing hostages.
As you may recall, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is constantly working to harmonize the anti-terrorist legislation of the Organization’s Member States in various areas.
