The CIS will pay particular attention to strengthening practical cooperation in combating security threats. This was stated by Emomali Rahmon, leader of Tajikistan, at the summit of CIS heads of state in Moscow.
“We will pay special attention to expanding CIS ties with the UN and regional associations, namely SCO, CSTO and EAEU, in particular by holding joint events in Dushanbe, New York and Beijing,” Emomali Rahmon said.
In addition, the President of Tajikistan said that, presiding in the CIS in 2025, the Republic will pay special attention to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
To him, another important detail will be the promotion of parliamentary cooperation development.
Yesterday, on October 8, at a meeting in Moscow, the heads of the CIS Member States adopted an Address to the peoples of the Commonwealth countries and the world community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, urging everyone to prevent the revival of fascism and Nazism, as well as to suppress attempts to unleash a new world war.
