CSTO Secretary General met with presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with Stanislav Zas, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, during a high-level international conference International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists that opened today, October 18, in Dushanbe.
According to Khovar.tj agency, the meeting discussed the cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan within the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Organization’s current tasks and current topics on the regional and international agenda.
The President of Tajikistan called the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s work an important factor in ensuring the security and stability of the region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for another meeting of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States.
As you may recall, on October 5, Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, received Stanislav Zas, CSTO Secretary General, in Bishkek.
According to Sputnik-Kyrgyzstan, during the meeting Stanislav Zas assured of the Organization’s readiness to assist in resolving the situation at the border.
