Delegation of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO PA consists of 6 deputies of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and 6 deputies of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The observers of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Final Report on the Elections of Deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the Eighth Convocation.
“The elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation were organized and held within constitutional terms in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and generally recognized international democratic standards,” reads the Report signed by all members of the observer group.
For the first time, remote electronic voting was introduced in seven constituent entities of the Russian Federation which proved to be effective.
Due to the pandemic, the three-day voting period seems logical and expedient. All necessary conditions for an open expression of will were created for the whole period,” reads the Report signed by all members of the CSTO PA international observer group.
“The experience of electoral law enforcement in the Russian Federation is of considerable interest for the CSTO Member States, including with regard to ensuring security of the electoral process and electoral sovereignty,” reads the Final Report.
As you may recall, a group of observers from the CSTO PA monitored the election campaign for the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation on the invitation of Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Members of the group – deputies of the parliaments of the CSTO States – monitored the voting process in 4 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: Moscow and Moscow oblast, as well as St Petersburg and Leningrad oblast.
The observers met with the leadership of the Russian CEC, legislative and executive authorities and leaders of parties participating in the election campaign, visited public centres for election observation and observed the expression of the will of the voters during the three days of voting.
