Conference on Combating IT Crimes Takes Place in Saint Petersburg
On July 25-27 in St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with the participation of law enforcement and other interested bodies of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign states and international organizations is holding the International Conference on Combating Crimes Committed using Information and Communication Technologies “ICT-Crime 2024”.
The participants discuss key issues of preventing, detecting, combatting and investigating crimes committed using ICT, improving legal regulation in this area, as well as providing mutual legal assistance and engaging in international cooperation.
Speaking at the plenary session, Vyacheslav Kocharyan, Advisor to the CSTO PA Secretariat and Secretary of the Legal Centre for Information and Analysis of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization, shared the results of the CSTO PA model lawmaking in the sphere of combating crimes committed using ICT.
Parliamentarians and experts of the CSTO PA are actively working to form a unified, coordinated system of legal regulation of relations in the ICT sphere. In particular, the CSTO PA has adopted model laws “On Information Security” and “On Critical Information Infrastructure Security” designed to harmonize the legislation of the CSTO Member States in this area.
