Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, made a joint statement on deepening relations of strategic partnership and alliance. The text of the statement is published on the Kremlin website.
Having discussed issues related to ensuring security in the Central Asian region in the context of joint countering external challenges and threats, the presidents confirmed their readiness to further deepen military and military-technical cooperation.
“The Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic will continue to fully promote the capacity building and improvement of the effectiveness of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO); strictly follow the goals and objectives enshrined in its Charter to ensure peace and security, to protect the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of the Member States of the Organization; develop cooperation in full accordance with their allied commitments within the CSTO,” the statement reads.
The document also addresses information and biological security.
In addition, the statement says it is necessary to step up joint efforts, including within international organizations, to counter attempts to falsify history and revise the results of the Second World War.
