On March 16, presidential candidate Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) met with international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
"With us, everything is super transparent. We tried to attract the maximum number of observers and we constantly meet with representatives of monitoring missions - parliamentarians and experts, asking them to express their comments and recommendations more actively," Leonid Slutsky shared.
He also emphasized the increased role of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in all areas.
"The CSTO PA is a special team for us. Its leadership has done everything for the parliamentary institution to grow and develop. I think that the scope of work in various areas of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly has seriously increased," the Russian presidential candidate noted.
Snezhanna Imasheva, CSTO Parliamentary Group Coordinator, pointed out that the working group of observers was formed after the invitation from the State Duma and the Federation Council to monitor the elections. She also said that today the observers will meet with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov, presidential candidate, and Ella Pamfilova, Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission.
