Lukashenko and Putin Agreed to Solve all the Problems Related to the Security Councils by the Fall
Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, stated that he and Vladimir Putin, his Russian counterpart, had agreed to solve all the problems related to the security councils by the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State scheduled in the fall.
The parties also agreed to settle issues related to the joint work of the governments, BelTA informs.
In the fall, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State, important events will be held in Minsk, such as the Union Council of Ministers and the Supreme State Council.
“Together with the President [of Russia] we agreed that by this time all the issues should be solved - including those related to security councils,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Presidents of Belarus and Russia met on Friday, July 26, on Valaam Island in Karelia. The heads of state held talks in an informal atmosphere.
