A jurist will represent the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan at the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly
The Madjlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan will be represented in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly by Bakhtovar Amirali Safarzoda, Doctor of Juridical Sciences, former vice-rector for academic affairs of the Tajik State National University, deputy of the Madjlisi Namoyandagon of the Madjlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan of two convocations.
On September 16, plenipotentiary representative of the Madjlisi Namoyandagon of the Madjlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Bakhtovar Safarzoda met with Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. They discussed preparations for the CSTO PA’s planned events.
The CSTO PA Executive Secretary congratulated Bakhtovar Safarzoda on his appointment, wished him success in this new field of work and expressed confidence that many years of teaching, as well as knowledge of the theory and history of state and law, comparative law and human rights will be very valuable in the model lawmaking of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
SJD Bakhtovar Amirali Safarzoda graduated from the Law Faculty of Tajik State National University in 2005. He started as a teaching assistant and later headed the Department of Human Rights and Comparative Law of the Law Faculty of Tajik National State University; in 2014 he became vice-rector for academic affairs.
In 2015 he was elected, and then re-elected in 2020, as a deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Bakhtovar Safarzoda is the author of more than 120 academic papers and teaching materials on the theory and history of state and law, constitutional law, international law and human rights.
He holds academic awards and speaks Tajik, Russian and English.
Bakhtovar Safarzoda is married with two children.
