As part of the monitoring of the preparation and holding the early presidential election in the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 20, 2022, the representatives of the international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization have met with the management of the republican association of trade unions Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with election teams of a number of parties that have nominated candidates for the early presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Party election teams shared their views with international observers about the preparatory stage of the election campaign, the course of campaigning, registration of candidates, the candidates and the specifics of the campaign.
In his turn, Vagharshak Hakobyan, Coordinator of CSTO PA international observers and a member of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues, deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on Regional Issues and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, noted the high level of preparation of precinct election commissions, which observers had already visited, stressing the generally smooth process of the election campaign.

Vagharshak Akobyan, member of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues, deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on Regional Issues and Eurasian Integration, was appointed coordinator of the CSTO PA observers.
The group includes representatives of the supreme legislative bodies of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan.
