CSTO PA international observers began their work in the Kyrgyz Republic with a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs
International observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization arrive at Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic) to monitor preparations and voting at the referendum on amending the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Today, as part of voting monitoring preparation, representatives of the CSTO PA mission headed by Anatoly Vyborny, acting head of the mission, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, met with Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, to discuss the preparation for the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, Mr Kazakbaev thanked the CSTO PA Chairman for sending the observers to the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The group of CSTO PA international observers includes representatives from the parliaments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.
As part of the monitoring of voting preparations, the international observers will hold a number of meetings in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic; on the day of the referendum, April 11, international observers intend to be present at polling stations from their opening to the end of vote counting, observing the voting process throughout the day.
