The Inter-Parliamentary Union and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly have reached a new level of cooperation

 In Belgrade, on the sidelines of the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a bilateral meeting was held between Umakhan UMAKHANOV, representative of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Martin CHUNGONG, IPU Secretary General.
The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
All four standing committees, a forum of women parliamentarians, as well as a forum of young IPU parliamentarians will be held within the IPU Assembly. The Inter-Parliamentary Union is the oldest legislative forum that currently brings together representatives of 179 states.
